Orbital Stack is a growing tech start-up that is taking RWDI’s world-leading expertise in climate-focused design analysis and turning it into software for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

Our software helps architects and engineers design livable, climate-savvy buildings that leverage the local climate to their advantage rather than suffer at its mercy, creating spaces where people love to spend time. We are doing this by delivering high-fidelity simulations and intuitive visualizations to customers directly in the AEC industry as well as through the consulting services of RWDI. 

We are currently in the process of launching a new generation of wind analysis technology that will completely transform this field. By delivering answers in seconds and at a fraction of the cost of historical approaches, designers will now be able to consider the impacts of the environment sooner than ever before and apply it to not only the most prestigious buildings in the world, but also to the local developments that we all interact with every day.

We are looking for a Director of Revenue Growth to lead our growth strategy as we deliver this new technology to the market. As the first member of the sales team this position will be hands on and operational at first. But, if you have been around the block once or twice and have some great ideas about how things should be done, this is a great opportunity to get in at the start of the journey and help chart the path that you want to take and eventually want others to follow. 

Your Role:

You will join the management team of Orbital Stack and oversee our growing direct-to-consumer SaaS business. You will be:

  • Leading the development of a go-to-market strategy that includes channel, digital, and social promotion and involves the development of sales materials to enable online sales, direct sales and sales through our RWDI channel;
  • Developing and refining pricing strategies that optimize revenue across markets;
  • Establishing and executing on a plan to reach new customers, getting them to trial the software, and ultimately subscribing; and,
  • Identifying, characterizing, and promoting to different market segments including large North American architecture firms, large global firms, as well as smaller architecture, planning, and design firms.

Your Past Experience

We’re a team that is obsessed with learning, but there are some things we hope you’ve already learned in past roles and can bring that wisdom to the team. You have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or applied sciences;
  • 7+ years previous experience in technology and SaaS sales to medium-sized professional organizations;
  • Experience establishing a new market for a software/SaaS product in a start-up environment;
  • An ability to understand engineering concepts and communicate them effectively to a less technical audience;
  • A high degree of familiarity and comfort with one of the leading CRM tools; and,
  • Experience generating sales forecasts and pipeline analytics reports.
